ABOUT YOUR HOME

Myth tells us that Lyonesse was swallowed by the sea in a single night, and that the only survivor was a young man named Trevelyan, who was seen riding his white horse furiously along the shore to beat the vengeful wave.

Imagine waking up every day in a home which produces zero carbon emissions. Imagine the feeling of knowing every drop of energy flowing through your home is created sustainably and consumed efficiently.

The drowned kingdom of Lyonesse is a legend. Zero Carbon Smart HomesTM are anything but.

Offered unrestricted on the open market, the smart homes at Lyonesse Lane gracefully blend contemporary home design with elite sustainable technology. These beautifully crafted homes are built to exacting standards and designed to help you move towards a zero-carbon lifestyle. Each house has smart home control systems – so not only are they energy-efficient, but they’ll learn to sync up with your lifestyle.

Walk into this home and you’ll find a vast, open-plan living and dining area, with your high-specification custom kitchen watching over it all. Head down the hallway to use the sleek bathroom or utility room. Upstairs, luxuriate in the four spacious bedrooms and three en-suites.

You’ll have your own private garden, generous off-road parking and a large detached garage. The garage has even more accommodation on the first floor, and you can use it for whatever you like.

All the details

Lyonesse Lane occupies a discreet, secluded position, perfect for getting away from it all. Access comes via a private no-through road. It’s set back from Rock Road, just a short and easy walk from the sought-after village of Rock.

When you want to get away for a bit, you won’t have any issues. The A30 dual carriageway is about 14 miles away. It runs east to the M5 at Exeter or west to Truro. Hop on a regular train at Bodmin Parkway to get to London Paddington, or head to Newquay Airport for domestic and international flights. There’s even a heliport in Rock.

  • Services: Mains water and electricity. Private drainage system.

In the area

Take a stroll through the picturesque village of Rock. Stop to soak up the enticing views of the Camel Estuary, or duck into one of the art galleries or restaurants. Spend some time on one of Cornwall’s most beloved beaches and find out why so many people love its golden sand dunes and crystal-clear waters.

In the village, you’ll discover the delights of local shops like a bakery, butcher and fishmonger. It’s the best of village life – they’re all independent, and they’ll know your name and what you like in no time. Families can also make the most of the highly regarded local primary school and excellent nearby beaches.

Head into Rock as the sun dips low in the sky and crisp white wines sit in buckets on tables. The food here is some of the most exceptional in the country. We particularly recommend the gastronomic delights of lauded St Enodoc Hotel, or burgers and moules frites at the locally loved Blue Tomato Café. Once you’ve eaten at every restaurant in Rock, it’s only a short hop across the water to the equally enticing eateries in Padstow.

Things to do locally

The sheltered waters of the River Camel provide a haven for water-skiing, windsurfing and sailing. The village sailing and water-skiing club was founded in 1938, and it’s still going strong.

At low tide, over a mile of sand stretches from Rock to Daymer Bay. Little ones can stay busy for hours, paddling or playing or constructing magnificent sandcastles. Further along the coast, picturesque Polzeath is pounded by Atlantic rollers and always popular with surfers. Walkers should take the time to stroll along the coastal paths. In spring, the cliffs are carpeted in wildflowers.

The Camel Trail used to be a steam railway line, and it’s now a flat, 18-mile trail popular with cyclists, runners and walkers. The views of the Camel Estuary are likely to take your breath away.

Rock’s championship St. Enodoc Golf Course is regarded as one of the best in the Southwest, but it’s not the only one. You can golf to your heart’s content at The Point at Polzeath, Bowood Park in Camelford and St. Kew Golf Club.

There’s so much more to do than we can touch on here. You’ll have to come and discover it for yourself.
