Sustainable living down to a tee: The Green

What a fantastic experience visiting The Green last week – our development of 30 Zero Carbon Smart Homes™ boasting far reaching views of the greens and fairways of Falmouth Golf Course.

With the sun shining bright as the integrated solar panels soak it all up to provide free electricity, these sustainable homes are built to exacting standards, and reach EPC Ratings as high as A115.  An A rated EPC starts at a score of 92, which means our Zero Carbon Smart Homes™ are now returning as much as 25% greater efficiencies than the minimum A rating available.

One of the biggest contributors to climate change is carbon dioxide (CO2). The energy used for heating, lighting and power in our homes produces over a quarter of the UK’s CO2 emissions. The average UK home produces 6.0 tonnes of CO2 per annum. A Verto home at The Green produces -2.0 tonnes of CO2 per annum, an extremely impressive average saving of 8.0 tonnes of CO2 per annum per home!

Along with The Green’s contributions to reducing carbon emissions, Verto are also making significant financial contributions of circa £250,000 that will improve infrastructure and facilities serving the local area. Not to mention the state-of-the-art clubhouse and pro-shop built for Falmouth Golf Club, recently described in the Falmouth Packet as: “the best thing to have happened for Falmouth in years”.

We are so proud to be leading the fight for zero on the home front. It’s vital that our homes blend seamlessly with their surroundings, and create the perfect environment inside, without harming the environment outside.

With only a couple of houses remaining available, if you’d like to find out more about our Zero Carbon Smart Homes™ at The Green, please contact sales@vertohomes.com or visit www.vertohomes.com
